Water Main upgrade project project Information

Summary of the project specific to Innerarity Island

Timeline for Innerarity Island specific work is start of work on March 4th, 2025 running through September 11th, 2025.  After the island work is completed a phase 2 will begin off island and up the rest of IPR into 2026. 


A town hall is to be scheduled in late March or early April at one of the churches on IPR with the ECUA project manager,  Vicki H. Campbell, ECUA District 1 Board Member  and our Escambia County District Commissioner Steve Stroberger to provide further details on the project to all residents in the impacted area. 


Project Summary:


  • The  Project is to replace the existing 8-inch Water Main with a 12-in pipe. 
  •  (More Water / Increased Pressure for the Island!). T
  • The Project run  along the north side of IPR from (approximately) adjacent to the Russell  Bayou entrance moving west to slightly past North Shore Road.
    The Project is scheduled to being next week...March 4th and is expected to take 3-months.
    Additional pipe will be laid along IPR from (approximately) Galvez to just below our causeway.
